This Verse-By-Verse Edition is two complete works in one!  The main part called FIVE COLUMN is a full four Gospel Harmony that aligns all of the words and sets of parallel verses from the four Gospel accounts according to a consistent chronological timeline for the Life and Ministry of Jesus Christ.
The second part is the "fifth column"  word-for-word Merger (or synopsis) called The Synoptic Gospel, and sub-titled, The Story of The Life of Jesus, which was created using the Word-For-Word Edition.

While others have harmonized the Gospels by presenting them side-by-side in four columns, FIVE COLUMN divides the verses from each Gospel into groups of words which are then moved up and down within their respective columns to produce a unity of thought or action. With all of the events and verses harmonized, the aligned texts were merged on a word-for-word basis using a merging process that involved sixteen steps (from the Word-For-Word Edition). While retaining all of the detail from each of the four Gospel accounts, this process removes the duplication between the parallel sets of verses, which results is a single, complete, narrative that is almost 22% shorter to read than reading the four individual Gospel accounts back-to-back.

The chronological timeline of this book makes it possible to see the full buildup of events, from the beginning of The Gospel Story to the end, and understanding is further enhanced with the Dates and Locations that are provided for each Scene, along with nine Maps of Israel and Jerusalem, as they would have appeared during the life of Jesus.

Included in this PDF edition are the seven Articles on why the FIVE COLUMN four Gospel Harmony and The Synoptic Gospel Word-For-Word Merger were created, along with the Notes that detail the features of this book. The Gospel Verse Cross-Reference Appendix shows which verses from the four original Gospels are part of a parallel set, and where within FIVE COLUMN and The Synoptic Gospel those verses can be found. As an aid to research, this book includes a comprehensive list of references and quotations (300 +) from the Old Testament, along with historical people and places.
